About Frankie Silvanus
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:

Frankie is a sweet, cheerful little sausage with a heart full of love
and a tail that just won’t stop wagging! This confident and
happy-go-lucky Dachshund is an all-around delight – whether he’s
enjoying the company of his foster siblings or entertaining himself with
a good sniff around the garden, Frankie’s contentment is contagious.
He’s a big fan of the outdoors and especially loves watching the world
go by. But don’t worry – Frankie is also a professional couch snuggler.
He’s absolutely mastered the couch ramp (and is very proud of it!) and
adores curling up under his blankets, often tucking himself in all on
his own. It’s impossibly cute.
Frankie is affectionate and loves pats and cuddles during evening
downtime. He sleeps peacefully through the night and has settled into a
calm, easy routine. When you come home, you’re greeted with full-body
wiggles – from the tip of his waggy tail to the tip of his nose – pure
joy in dog form!
He enjoys meals al fresco and will politely let you know when he’s ready
to come back inside. Around other dogs, Frankie is friendly and
respectful. He loves the company and will happily try to initiate play,
though he’s very understanding if his doggy housemates aren’t in the
mood.
While he’s mostly house-trained, he’s still learning the ropes in a new
environment and would benefit from ongoing guidance and regular toilet
breaks. He’s used the doggy door a few times but prefers the classic
scratch-at-the-door method – those little legs might be giving him a bit
of a challenge!
On walks, Frankie is a bit of a star. He keeps a great pace on his short
legs, walks beautifully on a loose lead, and has excellent recall. While
he doesn’t know many commands just yet, he’s very responsive and eager
to be involved in whatever’s going on.
Frankie would thrive in a loving home that appreciates his sweet nature,
snuggly habits, and zest for life. Whether he’s curling up in a cozy bed
or trotting beside you on a walk, Frankie is ready to bring joy, love,
and a little bit of sausage-shaped sunshine into your life.
Ready to welcome this little legend into your home? Frankie’s waiting
with a waggy tail and a warm heart.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped,
wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals,
surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm
testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If
a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
