About Mariette
After being released for a race, displaced dozens of kilometres from my home, I was lost and afraid in the streets of Ballarat, not sure if anyone would realise… Thankfully a kind volunteer for Pigeon rescue noticed me and saved me!
I was called Mario but I quickly showed everyone I was a Mariette .. After some love and care, I’ve gotten really comfortable in my new life and am ready for the next chapter where I will always be safe at home. ❤️ I love having morning chats with you cooing softly, and wouldn’t mind a life as the star solo pigeon of the house, but I am open to more pigeon friends also!

Once you have expressed interest in a bird, we ask that you formally apply to adopt via our adoption form (this can be done ahead of time) https://forms.gle/cjP9TZJcKAgkze6A6
From there we will work with the adopter to find a bird that suits their lifestyle, and organise a meet and greet at our shelter. We offer continious support post-adoption and are always available for help or questions.
