About Zeek
Meet Zeek! This sleek boy has retired from racing and ready to find his forever home! He’s taken his transition to foster life all in his *long* stride! 👌
Zeek mastered stairs on his very first day; he will politely let you know when he needs to go outside to toilet; 🚽 and when he’s not fast asleep or chilling he’ll give you a hint that he’s ready for a little zoom around the yard. 💨
Zeek only needs short walks and is happy if he gets to stretch his legs a few times a day. He does get excited and can be strong when starting out on walks, but after a few minutes will settle into a nice calm pace. 🦮
Around the house, Zeek is a perfect companion as he loves being around people. 👨👩👧👧
He is affectionate and will lean his whole body into you for pats. 🧸
Zeek also LOVES to be brushed. 🎀
He’ll keep you company with yard work; supervise fence repairs and definitely offer his services for BBQ “clean-up” duty (he’s very committed to this task). 🍖
Zeek loves being part of the action but is also totally content to relax in the sun 🌞 or hang out solo while you’re out. ⏱
Zeek has lived with other dogs and seems to be dog social. 🐶 He hasn’t shown too much interest in little dogs however he is still mostly untested around small dogs and cats so for now we’d recommend a home free of little animals. ✔
He is quite tall and gangly also, so best with adults or children over 12. 👨👩👧👧
He needs a home where he can live and sleep inside with his family but have access to a secured well fenced (6ft) yard. 🏡
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
