About Kirsche

Must meet all family members
Kids (any age)
Inside only
Litter Box User Level:
Professional - no mess, no fuss.
Meet Kirsche,
Okay, okay - we admit it. Kirsch’s photos aren’t winning any photography awards. But hear us out: we spent an hour and a half trying to get that perfect glamour shot. We brought out the big guns - toys, feather wands, crunchy treats, creamy treats, actual food, and even had a staff member doing cartwheels in the background (10/10 form, by the way).
And Kirsch? He gave zero fluffs. His only mission in life was to climb into the photographer's lap, knead biscuits like a pro, purr like a motorboat, and gently head bunt her chin in what we can only assume was his version of a selfie.
Basically, he’s more into cuddles than camera angles. 189 photos later and we only got one good one, and one hilarious one. Affection: 1, Photoshoot: 0.
Kirsche might start off a little shy, but don’t let that fool you - this gentle guy has a heart of gold and a serious love for love. Once he feels safe, his affectionate side bursts through like sunshine after rain. We’re talking head bunts, biscuit-making, cuddles galore, and a purr engine that could rival a motorbike!
He’s curious, friendly, and always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing - whether that’s exploring a new room, checking out what’s for dinner, or just curling up next to you for a snuggle session. He lives for connection and will happily soak up all the attention you’re willing to give.
Kirsche would thrive in a calm and quiet home where he can take his time settling in and then blossom into the happy, social guy he truly is. He’s also a great match for first-time cat parents looking for a gentle soul with tons of love to give.
If you're looking for a cat who'll adore you with his whole heart, Kirsche is your guy.
Kirsche is open to meet kids of any age but children in the home should be aware that he may get a little shy sometimes. He loves being picked up, carried and cuddled and won't hesitate to smooch your face. He also loves being patted and touched everywhere all over his little ginger body.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Kirsche would go living with a dog. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
As for cats, Kirsche previously lived with another cat and he has met some other cats in the cattery too. As always, we recommend a slow and controlled introduction over a few days to make sure that each cat has the best option of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Kirsche has already experienced living outside but he's very happy being an inside cat - but he does like to explore. If he is outside, it will increase his chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat he can live his best life possible and explore the outside world from the safety of inside.
Kirsche has mid-range energy levels & likes all kinds of toys!
Kirsche is not fussy with his food. He is known to eat any food offered to him and he likes treats, too - especially creamy treats.
Staff Comments: Kirsche is known to give the best cuddles and kisses! He's a funny boy who will make you laugh. He loves affection and will risk it all just to get to you for a pat, a kiss, a cuddle - anything!

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
