About Ziggy
Say hello to Ziggy – a playful, affectionate Kelpie who’s ready to bring endless joy and energy into his new family’s life. With his sleek black and white coat and bright, intelligent eyes, Ziggy is as handsome as he is full of personality.
Ziggy is a classic Kelpie – active, smart, and always up for an adventure. He loves being part of the action, whether that’s exploring outdoors, joining in on training sessions, or simply enjoying quality time with his humans. This boy thrives when he has a job to do, and he’ll reward your time and effort with loyalty, affection, and plenty of tail wags.
Don’t let his energy fool you though – Ziggy also has a softer side. He’s an attentive listener and loves being close to his people, making him a sweet blend of fun and companionship. His joyful presence and happy grin have a way of lighting up any room.
Ziggy is looking for an active, loving home where he can channel his enthusiasm into play, learning, and adventures. If you’re a Kelpie fan or simply someone who loves a lively, affectionate dog by their side, Ziggy could be your new best friend.

Adoption details
The adoption process at the Upper Lachlan Shire is relatively easy. We ask that if you are interested in an animal, please apply via pet rescue, the Shelter staff will then review applications and phone selected applicants for a meet and greet. We do not take expressions of interest over the phone.
Once you have been selected as the right applicant for the animal, all that is required by you is to make a payment at the Animal Shelter by eftpos ONLY (Via phone can be arranged after a meet and greet with the animal), provide details for the microchip and registration paperwork and then pick up your future pet from the Council veterinary service provider once they have been de-sexed and vaccinated, if not already desexed and vaccinated (Council staff will advise you when the animal is booked in at the veterinary clinic.
