This little fellow, with his soulful eyes and spirited demeanor, has a story that tugs at the heartstrings. Zeezee was discovered in a heartbreaking condition, severely malnourished but despite the harsh and challenging beginning to his life, Zeezee has demonstrated an incredible resilience and an affectionate nature that makes him a gorgeous companion.
Zeezee is a dog who exudes sweetness and warmth, with a particular fondness for cuddling. When he first arrived, he was untrained, unable to walk on a leash or follow even the most basic commands such as “sit.” However, in the relatively short period we’ve had the pleasure of working with him, Zeezee has shown an impressive eagerness to learn. His progress has been nothing short of remarkable, and we are confident that for someone seeking to engage with a new dog and have fun in the process, Zeezee would be an excellent choice.
In terms of his interactions with people, Zeezee has a special affinity for female company and may take a bit longer to warm up to males. However, once he feels comfortable, he is incredibly affectionate, often giving a good paw hug, wrapping his legs around your thigh, and resting his muzzle against your neck or chest. He has been fostered with teenagers and has thoroughly enjoyed their company, making him a great fit for a family with kind and gentle children.
Zeezee, being a country dog at heart, can find crowded places overwhelming. He would thrive in a quiet lifestyle where he can enjoy plenty of outdoor adventures with ample space to explore.
Zee Zee has a love of playing with other dogs . He gets along wonderfully with puppies and is polite around other dogs. Occasionally, he can become a bit focused and attempt to round them up, a testament to his kelpie instincts. Zeezee would likely enjoy the company of a female dog of similar size and energy but is also perfectly fine as an only dog. He is quiet during the day if left alone and has not shown any food-related issues around other dogs, though we always recommend separate feeding.
Inside the home, Zeezee is fully house-trained and has mastered using the doggy door like a pro. He is well-mannered indoors and will settle on his mat or the couch, if permitted. Zeezee is a true delight and great company, making him a wonderful addition to any household.

In terms of training, walking, and obedience, Zeezee has been a joy to train, despite arriving with no prior training. He is eager to learn and has already mastered commands such as “sit,” “come,” “bed,” “up,” and “drop.” Zeezee is walking on a black dog halti, which he tolerates very well, and he walks beautifully with it. However, on a flat collar, he tends to pull. He is learning to engage with his carer and has been diligently working on his recall using a long lead. Zeezee is highly food-motivated, which greatly aids in his training.

For enrichment, Zeezee is just beginning to learn about toys, although he currently prefers rounding up his playmates. He would benefit from an owner who is keen to nurture his natural instincts, as he would thrive in that environment. Zeezee is quite independent and is content both inside and outside the home. He is quiet indoors and enjoys curling up next to you or on his mat. Outside, he rarely barks and hasn’t shown any destructive traits. He is left on his own during the day currently and has no problems being outside alone while his family works. He does enjoy enrichment toys like a Kong or cow hoof to keep him occupied. Initially he chewed his bed but now settled he is a dream boy

When it comes to sleep, Zeezee sleeps soundly through the night on his dog bed, ensuring he is well-rested for the next day’s adventures.
Regarding car trips, Zeezee loves to jump into the car, as
He knows it takes him to fun places like the park.
Once in the car, he settles down very well, making travel with him a pleasant experience.
The ideal home for Zeezee would be one experienced with working breeds and willing to invest time in his training to bring out the best in him. A home that can offer a quiet outdoor life, away from busy, crowded areas like footy matches or bustling parks, would be perfect. He would prefer a lifestyle where he can explore nature at his leisure.
Most importantly, Zeezee needs a loving home that will include him in their daily life as a cherished family member. A family that will help him hone his kelpie drive to fulfill his innate traits would be ideal. He’s fine left alone during the day but will need regular exercise and training to keep his mind stimulated and his spirit happy
To set him up for success we feel the home he needs is as follows
A home with a nice size yard with shade and shelter and secure fencing . No standard farmfencing please as this is not what we deem as secure
Another dog of similar size and energy would be great as he adores playing with others
He has a love of females and kids old enough to play so his home would require a female in the home
We feel cats are probably not a good idea
A home that will allow him both in and outside
A home that can walk him and take him out to quiet areas not overcrowded to help him learn to enjoy the big wide world
