Meet the adorable duo, Cinder and AJ, a delightful pair of Shihtzu/Maltese cross pups who are ready to bring double the joy and laughter to your life. At 7 years young, these two are the perfect blend of youthful energy and seasoned companionship, making them wonderful additions to any loving household.
Weighing in at 6kgs and 3kgs respectively, Cinder and AJ are just the right size for cozy cuddles on the couch or lively play sessions in a secure, fenced backyard. With their nurturing dispositions, they have seamlessly bonded with each other and are eager to extend their love to a new family.
This charming pair is not only desexed, chipped, vaccinated, and wormed but also delightfully social with other dogs, ensuring harmonious integration into multi-dog homes. Although a bit wary of cats, they're unfazed by human companionship, as long as the children are over 6 years old.
Cinder and AJ are perfect for active families who cherish playtime and the companionship of small dogs. Aj is losing his hearing but other than that he is a great little guy. Cinder is sweet and affectionate. Headed out for a day of fun with them at a secure dog park, or simply enjoying long walks and leisure moments at home, these two will fit right in at Morningside. They've been dreaming of their new family, and with an adoption fee of $995 for this dynamic duo, they'll bring endless love and happiness to your household.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
