Mickey

Mickey is a sweet ginger & white tabby with a quiet heart and a gentle spirit.
and his journey with SAFE has been slow & cautious. When Mickey arrived he was frightened and very unsure and it took him quite a while to adjust. Once he became more confident we placed him in a loving foster home where he was no bother at all, blended perfectly into the family by staying in the background and keeping himself to himself. Now we feel the time is right for him to be adopted into a forever home.

Though still initially shy, Mickey makes progress, albeit slowly and we’ve grown to love his undemanding nature . He’s shown he wants to connect, has taken small but meaningful steps toward friendship and we believe that by living with a calm and loving person he can grow to trust, he will continue to open up and reveal his inner layers.

Mickey is not demanding so if you’re looking for a bold, confident in-your-face cat who likes to be picked up and noticed, he’s not the one for you. What he will be is a wonderful quiet, calm presence in your life.

It may take quite some time for him to settle into a new environment but if you let him go at his own pace and let him be, he will fit in quietly to your life. He will be grateful to be around and so if you’re willing to let love grow slowly, Mickey may just be the perfect, unassuming companion for you. 💛
