About Gilbert
Meet Gilbert, a 3-year-old smooth-coated guinea pig with a gentle, shy personality. He takes a little time to warm up but is a sweet companion once he's comfortable. Gilbert loves fresh veggies (especially bell peppers!) and cozy hideouts. He's best friends with George, and they'd love to stay together in a patient, loving home. If you're looking for a calm, low-maintenance duo, Gilbert and George are the perfect fit! 🐹💖

You no longer need to submit an online application to adopt a dog, puppy, cat, kitten or small animal.
Walk-ins are welcome at our Burwood East and Peninsula locations:
Burwood: Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
Peninsula: Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
For our Warrnambool and Wangaratta locations, please call the RSPCA shelters to book an appointment to meet our available animals:
