About Thistle
*In foster care in Petersham, Sydney*
Thistle is a petite young lady who loves other friendly felines, food and pats from humans - probably in that order!
Confident and curious, adventurous and independent, she's constantly purring like a little motor :) It kicks in the second she sees anyone, and she rushes in for neck scratches and affection. Sadly, she's too busy with her teenage social life to be a lap cat yet, though she is starting to cuddle up on the couch with her foster carer!
Having been born in a garden cat colony, where she lived until recently, Thistle totally adores other cats - so a feline playmate or two to bond with in her new home is one of her non-negotiables. He was a bit reluctant at first, but she's finally managed to get her foster brother on side through persistent, determined attention! Now they race around together and she's often rubbing up against him making cute little chirping noises :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Thistle is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will include another cat, preferably one who'll play with me! But even if they just let me hang out with them (and maybe sneak in some snuggles), I'll be happy :)
If my humans could spend time playing with me too (my favourite toys are the dangly wand and laser), that would also wonderful! As would lots of nice food and treats. I'm actually a MAJOR foodie, and although my foster brother is much bigger than me I have no qualms about pushing him out of the way during meal time - so if your resident cats are a bit meek and mild I might need to be separated when food comes out!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I've recently graduated from kittenhood, so while I do have loads of energy for exploring and adventures, I'm a big fan of snoozing too, preferably in a quiet spot.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't met any kids yet, but given my confident, adventurous personality I think I'd get on well with them! Kids of at least school age (5+) who'll understand that I'll need my own space sometimes would likely be best.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Cats are pawesome, purrfect and purrific!
I haven't met any dogs since arriving in foster care, but my carer thinks I might enjoy the company of gentle ones.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
