About Indigo
Please meet Indy, a gorgeous sweet girl. She recently arrived to our shelter, badly malnourished, but we immediately found a loving foster carer for her.
Indy is fantastic with children and cats, though she does have a penchant for sneaking onto couches and beds. She loves her creature comforts! She's nearly fully house-trained and is working on her food guarding behaviour, needing someone patient yet firm with gentle training methods. She's vigilant about her territory, barking appropriately to alert us.
She's a gem when it comes to socializing, behaving well both on-and off-leash, and showing great manners in various settings. Her playful nature shines through when engaging with toys and other dogs. Though she's protective of her space, there's no aggression—just a bark to signal awareness. And she loves to play!
Training-wise, she's a breeze, responding well to commands and displaying a gentle demeanor. She's even a pro at sleeping through the night. In essence, Indy is a wonderfully behaved and highly trainable dog, expected to reach a mature weight of 20-35 kgs, suggesting she may have some Bull Arab and Ridgeback in her lineage.
She's truly an exceptional dog. She's sociable, handles off-leash time on the beach with ease, and doesn't dash out when gates open. Recently, she had her first cafe outing where she exhibited impeccable manners alongside her furry companions. Weekly doggy daycare sessions ensure she gets to interact with a variety of dogs, displaying friendliness and good manners, though her enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of her with smaller dogs. Many have commented on how impressed they are with her
