About Mojo
Introducing Mojo!
Mojo is an XL American Bully born 11th August 2023.
Mojo was brought into the facility as a stray, however he was still microchipped to the breeder. He advised that Mojo had been sold at 12 weeks of age for $2000, however he couldn't find the paperwork of who he rehomed to. Unfortunately no-one came looking for Mojo & the breeder wasn't able to take him back, so he surrendered to us for rehoming.
When Mojo first came to the facility he was incredibly stressed, to the point where he was making himself throw up, shaking constantly & chattering his teeth. On top of this he was also drooling constantly, so his chest & legs were wet at all times. Due to his stress levels we reached out to our foster carer who dropped everything to come & pick him up.
Since being in foster care Mojo has completely settled and is now thriving. He has been on many adventures & several Bunnings trips where he has loved (& been loved on) by everyone he's met. He's been great with children & is very gentle with them. He is house trained & knows how to use the doggy door. He was very well behaved with having a bath when he was first in care. Mojo gets incredibly excited when going for a walk & bounds around like a Disney character, however he is surprisingly quite good on lead. We've been told the only "bad" things about Mojo are that his farts can clear a room & his snores can wake the dead! He has also taken up residence in the foster carers bed each night, so he will need a home where he can be an inside dog & be loved on as much as his heart desires.
Mojo has tested fairly well with other dogs at the facility & regularly goes out for walks with a small, female Cavoodle. We believe Mojo would be suitable to live with other dogs, or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have another dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Mojo tested fairly well with cats at the facility. He was more interested in the cats food than the meowing cat in front of his face. We believe that he could be suitable to live with cats if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
*Please note this meet was done through an enclosure and his reaction may differ with a free roaming cat.
Mojo is untested with pocket pets at this time.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Mojo will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Mojo has shown no signs of food aggression towards humans, however he isn't tested with other animals.
When Mojo first went into foster care he showed VERY mild signs of separation anxiety, where he whined and paced back & forth, however he is now quite comfortable when left alone at home and spends most of his time asleep on the lounge.
Mojo's adoption fee is $600 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration.
Mojo is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
