Casey

Casey is a sweet and social Rottweiler who thrives on companionship and loves to be close to her people. She can be a bit worried when left alone initially, so she'll need time, patience, and a consistent routine to settle into her new home. Once comfortable, she's a loving and loyal companion. Casey enjoys chews and food-based enrichment, which can help keep her occupied and relaxed.

She has shown some low-level resource guarding, so we recommend providing high-value items like chews or food in a quiet, undisturbed area and avoiding taking items from her mouth to prevent escalation. Casey would do best as an indoor/outdoor dog, allowing her to stay close to her family while enjoying outdoor spaces for exercise and enrichment.

Casey would benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training to build her confidence and help her adjust. She is open to the right family, ideally one with experience and patience. While she's previously lived with another dog, she may do best as a single dog or with a calm, respectful male dog. A meet-and-greet is required for adoption.
