Meet Hazel, a very sweet 1-year-old kelpie x American staffy with a heart full of hope waiting to find her forever home. Hazel is a wonderful girl who thrives on close contact with her favourite people, calm interactions, and plenty of reassurance as she settles into her new environment.
Personality & Needs:
- Hazel is gentle, affectionate, and eager to form a strong bond with her family.
- She has experienced some stress and anxiety adjusting to shelter life, so she responds best to a calm, patient, and understanding caregiver.
- She loves to run and explore, so a home with space to dash around, stretch her legs, and sniff would be ideal.
- Hazel enjoys toys and loves a good fuss. She may initially be a little wary of strangers but once she begins to trust you, you will form a real connection & make a true Forever friend.
Ideal Home:
- A household with stability, routine, and predictability will help Hazel feel secure.
- Someone who is home more often than not during her initial settling period would be perfect.
- She would thrive indoors as part of the family, participating in daily activities and family life.
- Dog-savvy children could be a good fit, provided the environment is calm and respectful.

Enquiries sent through PetRescue will NOT be answered. Please follow the process below
1) Please note the name of the animal you're interested in
2) Visit the RSPCA Queensland adoption site at www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt
3) Search for the animal either by type or location
4) View the animal's profile, and click the link to submit an application
5) RSPCA staff will contact you to inform you about the outcome of your application and to talk through the next steps if your application is successful!
