About Tess
NOW ENTERING THE HOME STRETCH... IT'S TESS!
Name: Tess
Breed: Greyhound
Color: Brindle Beauty
Age: 9 years young
Status: Champion Snuggler
Position: Leading the race toward her forever home 🏆
And here she comes, folks-rounding the final bend with elegance and experience, it's Tess, the 9-year-old brindle stunner with a heart as big as her soulful eyes. She may have hung up her racing silks, but Tess is still first across the finish line when it comes to loyalty, affection, and grace.
With every gentle stride, Tess shows the poise of a seasoned racer and the calm of a dog who's learned to savor the slower pace of retirement. She's mastered the art of the couch cuddle, the soulful gaze, and the perfect power nap. Dog social with all sized canines, Tess is one dog that with slow intro's may also be able to live with cats.
Track Record:
Great with respectful children and calm companions
Low-energy and LOVES a soft bed (or your sofa, if you're offering)
Walks like a pro on leash - no pulling here!
Fully retired from racing, but ready to win hearts every day
Tess is looking for a relaxed home where she can enjoy leisurely walks, cozy corners, and plenty of love. She would enjoy the company of another laid-back dog or happy to be your one-and-only fan.
She's got the heart of a champion and the soul of a best friend. If you're looking for a gentle, loving senior girl to fill your home with quiet joy and steadfast companionship, Tess is already halfway to your heart.
Adopt Tess - because every champion deserves a victory lap in a forever home. 🐾

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
