About Fendi
š¾ Fendi ā Gentle, Well-Mannered Mastiff Cross
Age:Ā 18 monthsāØSex:Ā MaleāØBreed:Ā Mastiff XāØTraining:Ā Board-and-Train Graduate + ongoing trainingāØCurrent Life:Ā Six months in foster care with an experienced foster carerāØDaycare:Ā Regular attendee at Nathalia Boarding KennelsāØLooking for:Ā A loving indoor home where Iām part of the family
š About Me
Hi! Iām Fendi. Iām 18 months old ā still in my giant-breed adolescent stage ā but thanks to lots of structure and guidance, Iām already a calm, polite and easy dog to have at home.
Iāve spent the last six months in foster care with an experienced foster carer, learning routine, boundaries and house manners. I also completed over a month of professional board-and-train, living full-time with a dog trainer. This means Iāve hadconsistent, ongoing professional trainingĀ throughout my foster journey.
Iām looking for a home where Iām a beloved petĀ ā welcome inside, included in daily life, and sleeping indoors (ideally in my crate, just like I do now).
š My Personality
* Very soft and gentle with people
* Naturally calmer around children
* Social with confident large-breed dogs
* Equally happy as the only dog
* Calm and respectful inside the home
* A big leaner and an even bigger snuggler
* People-focused and eager to please
* Easy to guide with fair, consistent rules
š My Training
Iāve had more training than most adolescent giant breeds. Hereās what I already know:
āĀ Halti Trained
I walk well on a halti and respond calmly to guidance.
āĀ E-Collar Exposure
During my board-and-train, I learned how to work with an e-collarĀ under professional supervision. Iām very soft with people and easy to guide, and the e-collar was introduced correctly by trainers to assist with my recall and to help me be introduced safely to livestock. If my new family wishes to continue using it, training support is available.
āĀ Snake Avoidance Training
Iāve completed snake avoidance training, learning to avoid snakes and move away from them ā a great skill for rural homes.
āĀ Great Recall
Iām very food-motivated, which makes recall training simple and fun. When rewarded, I consistently come straight back to my humans ā giving me a strong and reliable recall foundation for a young giant breed.
āĀ Obedience Basics
I know my commands, understand boundaries and have very good indoor manners.
āĀ Crate Trained
I sleep inside in my crate every night ā it keeps me settled and secure.
āĀ Socialisation
Between daycare and living with other big dogs in foster care, Iāve learned good doggy manners and polite play.
āĀ Board-and-Train Graduate
I spent over a monthĀ living with a professional trainer, receiving structure, consistency and high-quality guidance.
š” The Home Iām Looking For
Iād love a home that understands giant breeds and wants a dog who will live indoors as part of the family. I can thrive in:
* A home with another confident large-breed dog, or
* A single-dog homeĀ where someone has time to continue guiding me
But the things that matter most are:
ā I liveĀ insideĀ the home
ā Iām included in family routines
ā I sleep indoors (crate ideal)
ā I have clear, fair rules
GVPAR does not rehome working dogs ā all of our dogs are placed into pet homes where they are treated as part of the family. I must be allowed inside, included in daily life, and sleeping indoors just as I do now. I amĀ happy to spend the day outside in a secure yard or safe dog pen, as long as my exercise and mental needs have been met first.
š§ What My New Family Needs to Understand About Me
āĀ Ongoing Training
Iāve had a great start, but Iām still young. I need a family who will continue my structure, expectations and training.
āĀ Exercise & Mental Stimulation
I donāt need excessive exercise, but I doĀ need proper walks, enrichment and training sessions to stay balanced and fulfilled.
āĀ Iām a Large Dog
Iām gentle ā but because of my size, I need consistent rules and boundaries. With them, Iām incredibly easy to guide.
āĀ I Can Be Left Alone During the Day
Iām good with downtime once my needs have been met. If Iāve had exercise and enrichment beforehand, I can be left:
* in a secure yard, or
* in a safe dog pen/run
I settle well, donāt fret, and rest calmly until my family comes home.
āĀ Indoor Living is Essential
Iām calm inside, respectful of space, and happiest when Iām treated like a member of the family.
