👋 About Me
Hi! I’m Fendi. I’m 18 months old — still in my giant-breed adolescent stage — but thanks to lots of structure and guidance, I’m already a calm, polite and easy dog to have at home.
I’ve spent the last six months in foster care with an experienced foster carer, learning routine, boundaries and house manners. I also completed over a month of professional board-and-train, living full-time with a dog trainer. This means I’ve hadconsistent, ongoing professional training throughout my foster journey.
I’m looking for a home where I’m a beloved pet — welcome inside, included in daily life, and sleeping indoors (ideally in my crate, just like I do now).

🎓 My Training
I’ve had more training than most adolescent giant breeds. Here’s what I already know:
✔ Halti Trained
I walk well on a halti and respond calmly to guidance.
✔ E-Collar Exposure
During my board-and-train, I learned how to work with an e-collar under professional supervision. I’m very soft with people and easy to guide, and the e-collar was introduced correctly by trainers to assist with my recall and to help me be introduced safely to livestock. If my new family wishes to continue using it, training support is available.
✔ Snake Avoidance Training
I’ve completed snake avoidance training, learning to avoid snakes and move away from them — a great skill for rural homes.
✔ Great Recall
I’m very food-motivated, which makes recall training simple and fun. When rewarded, I consistently come straight back to my humans — giving me a strong and reliable recall foundation for a young giant breed.
✔ Obedience Basics
I know my commands, understand boundaries and have very good indoor manners.
✔ Crate Trained
I sleep inside in my crate every night — it keeps me settled and secure.
✔ Socialisation
Between daycare and living with other big dogs in foster care, I’ve learned good doggy manners and polite play.
✔ Board-and-Train Graduate
I spent over a month living with a professional trainer, receiving structure, consistency and high-quality guidance.

🏡 The Home I’m Looking For
I’d love a home that understands giant breeds and wants a dog who will live indoors as part of the family. I can thrive in:
* A home with another confident large-breed dog, or
* A single-dog home where someone has time to continue guiding me
But the things that matter most are:
✔ I live inside the home
✔ I’m included in family routines
✔ I sleep indoors (crate ideal)
✔ I have clear, fair rules
GVPAR does not rehome working dogs — all of our dogs are placed into pet homes where they are treated as part of the family. I must be allowed inside, included in daily life, and sleeping indoors just as I do now. I am happy to spend the day outside in a secure yard or safe dog pen, as long as my exercise and mental needs have been met first.

🧠 What My New Family Needs to Understand About Me
✔ Ongoing Training
I’ve had a great start, but I’m still young. I need a family who will continue my structure, expectations and training.
✔ Exercise & Mental Stimulation
I don’t need excessive exercise, but I do need proper walks, enrichment and training sessions to stay balanced and fulfilled.
✔ I’m a Large Dog
I’m gentle — but because of my size, I need consistent rules and boundaries. With them, I’m incredibly easy to guide.
✔ I Can Be Left Alone During the Day
I’m good with downtime once my needs have been met. If I’ve had exercise and enrichment beforehand, I can be left:
* in a secure yard, or
* in a safe dog pen/run
I settle well, don’t fret, and rest calmly until my family comes home.
✔ Indoor Living is Essential
I’m calm inside, respectful of space, and happiest when I’m treated like a member of the family.
