About Poppy
If you’re looking for a gentle soul who’s already learning the joys of human company, Poppy might just be your match. This sweet girl is the most affectionate of her trio, often leading the charge when it comes to collecting pats and gentle head scritches. She’s a soft-natured sweetheart who has discovered that laps are for lounging and hands are for affection – and she’s more than happy to remind you of that with a headbutt or two.
Poppy’s days are spent lounging in sunny window spots or curled up in a cosy basket, dreaming of mealtime (she’s a big fan of smelly wet food!). While she can still be reserved with new people, she doesn’t dart for cover – instead, she watches and waits, slowly revealing her lovely personality to those willing to move at her pace.
She would flourish in a calm and patient home with humans who understand that trust is built over time. Although she’s been sharing her space with her sisters, and they would love to stay together, Poppy could be rehomed either solo or with a new feline friend. She’s already shown she’s open to love – now she just needs someone to show her what home feels like.
Poppy is best suited to experienced cat lovers who will appreciate her quiet milestones and celebrate every affectionate moment. She’s made remarkable progress on her journey from street cat to snuggle bug – all she needs now is someone to keep her moving forward.

When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
