About Basil
Please meet our Sooty and Charcoal - 2 little brothers who have had a long journey to join us at our Shelter. They can be adopted together or separately.
Do you remember the nursery rhyme that says, in part, "Two little monkeys jumping on the bed"? That's what Sooty and Charcoal would do with a bed! They are the most incredible little rascals (almost impossible to tell apart) with their funny antics and their extraordinary love for humans. If you take one or two of these little fellows into your home, everyday would be loads of fun. They both have beautiful sleek bodies covered in smooth, black fur. Now to address the elephant in the room - their eyes. The two boys don't experience any medical or behavioural issues however their eyes are due to a genetic input from either their mother or father.
DIET/CARE-A diet of high-quality dry biscuits, wet food and some bowls of fresh, cool water is needed. Regular vet visits are important. A temporary launch room (room or crate) will be a huge benefit.
INSIDE LIFESTYLE-We recommend an inside lifestyle as he's so active he would disappear outside. His inside life can be made exciting by adding large cat scratchers near a window and in a family room. Wand toys, warm beds and cardboard boxes are also lots of fun.
FRIENDS - Most kittens are very adaptable and Sooty may be able to live with cat-savvy, gentle children, another cat or perhaps a dog, if he is helped to co-habit with them. A slow and steady intro is the best. His adoption price includes: A FREE 2kg bag of ROYAL CANIN dry food >His desexing, microchip and vaccinations Adoption Price: $325 Sooty's waiting for you to take him home www.rspcaqld.org.au/apply-to-adopt
