About Archie
💛 Archie’s Ideal Home:
Someone home most of the time (WFH preferred)
Another small friendly well-adjusted dog in the home
Quiet suburb or neighborhood
Willingness to let him settle at his own pace
A heart big enough for a little dog with lots of love to give
Meet Archie – Your New Snuggle Buddy 🐾
If your idea of the perfect day involves cozy cuddles, gentle walks, and a sweet pup snoring softly nearby — Archie might just be your soulmate.
Archie is a gentle, nap-loving companion who lives for human affection and soft spots to curl up in. He’s got a big heart in a small body, and once he feels safe and settled, he’ll be your shadow, couch companion, and devoted best friend.
He adores people and is always up for pats, but when it comes to other dogs, he needs a bit of time and patience. On walks, he may bark at unfamiliar pups, but with calm introductions in a safe environment, he quickly learns that friends come in all shapes and sizes. He hasn’t met any cats yet, so we’re not sure how he’d do with them.
Archie is house-trained, doesn’t chew on things he shouldn’t, and has the sweetest habit of napping on top of the couch like it’s his personal throne. He knows a few basic commands and is eager to please, though he’s still working on mastering leash manners — a patient owner will help him shine on walks.
He’s a classic couch potato at heart so must have access inside at all times, be permitted to sleep on the couch and on the bed.
While he enjoys two solid walks a day, he spends most of his time relaxing indoors. He’d thrive in a quieter home (city hustle isn’t really his style), ideally with a secure backyard or regular outings. Apartment living is totally fine too — as long as he gets his daily walkies and lots of love.
Because Archie has shown mild separation anxiety, he’ll do best with someone who works from home or is home the majority of the time. He has never been completely alone but has done well being left with another dog for company, so a canine sibling would help him feel secure and confident in his new environment.
Archie is looking for a family who understands that the best things in life take time — someone patient, calm, and ready to give him all the TLC he needs to feel at home.
If you think you can offer Archie the calm, loving forever home he deserves, he’ll pay you back tenfold in snuggles, loyalty, and soft snoozes by your side.
If you would like to meet Archie please send us some details on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your dog and any other pets (if any), family members, lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Archie would be alone, where he will have access in the home, where Archie would go if you went away and could not take him with you and your ability to cover vet expenses.
