Lieutenant Dan

“My name’s Lieutenant Dan… and I may only have three legs, but that don’t slow me down none.”

Just like his namesake in Forrest Gump, this brave little ginger boy has been through a lot — but you’d never know it by the way he loves. Lieutenant Dan is all heart: a total cuddlebug who’ll sleep on your chest, knead biscuits like it’s his full-time job, and smooch every new person like they’ve been lifelong friends. He’s gentle when he plays, great with visitors, and probably just fine with kids. Life might be like a box of chocolates, but with Dan, you're guaranteed something sweet every time.

Dan may not leap tall cabinets in a single bound, but he runs, climbs stairs, and uses his litter tray like a pro. He can pull himself up onto couches and low cat towers, especially if they have staggered levels. He’s not a fan of dogs — even distant barking makes him uneasy — so he needs a dog-free home. But other cats? He lives for them. Dan must go to a home with at least one friendly resident cat; he thrives on feline companionship and truly isn’t happy without a buddy. If you’ve got a warm home, a soft bed, and a friendly cat or two waiting, Lieutenant Dan is ready to march straight into your heart.
