About Indi
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
This beautiful little lady is sweet, gentle, loving and does not have a mean bone in her little body. She is a bit shy but is a gentle soul with a lot of love to give and has a heart of gold.
Sadly Indi was on a list of cats due to be put down at a shelter due to being too timid for adoption but luckily, thanks to some amazing people, we were able to get her out of there and she's now living the good life in her new foster home.
We're not sure of her history prior to being in the shelter but our best guess is that she was a colony cat living wild as she is very cat social but clearly had not had much exposure to people prior to coming into our care.
She was very timid when she first arrived so we kept her in a large play pen so she had her own safe space and so that we could easily interact with her while she was getting to know us. During this time we were able to pat her but you could see she wasn't sure about the contact and was just tolerating it.
We have since let her out and she now spends her days hiding under the couch and generally will not come out until the sun goes down.
When she comes out she is generally happy to wander around and interact with the other cats as long as you're in a non-threatening position like sitting on the couch, sitting at your desk or lying in bed. But if you get up or move suddenly she will run back to her safe space.
Indi does however love love LOVE other cats and will make a b-line straight for one of our
male cats named Cloud and will follow him around like a bad smell.
When she's out and about Indi will run up against the other cats, roll around in front of them on the ground, is happy to play and cuddle and will do all of the usual adorable cat things. She is very very cat social so heading to a home with a cat friendly cat is a must.
If you check out the videos we've uploaded you'll get an understanding of where she is in her development.
Indi has a timid, non-dominant and non-aggressive personality and would be more than happy to play the role of second fiddle or little sister. She needs to go to a home that has a cat who Indi can bond with and who is happy to take her under their wing and show her around her new home.
Indi has been a very slow burn but she is growing in confidence every day and we are certain that in the right environment she will continue to blossom and her beautiful personality will begin to shine through.
We would love to find her a nice quiet home, with an experienced and patient cat owner, who is happy to give her the time she needs to settle into her new home and come out of her shell.
If you're wanting a cat loving companion for your current cat who isn't in your face 24/7 then Indi is the cat for you.
If you're happy to take on a timid little lady who you can admire from a distance but who would worship your existing furry feline friend then we would love to hear from you.
Indi is approximately 18 months old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with her.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
