About Buddy
✨ Buddy - Your couch companion and quiet heart-healer ✨
📛 Microchip No.: 991003002732154
🎨 Colour: Orange and White
🐱 Breed: Domestic Short Hair
📍 Foster Home: Lane Cove
Buddy is the kind of cat who brings peace with him wherever he goes. Gentle, steady, and quietly affectionate, he’s the perfect companion for anyone looking for a calm presence to share their life with. He’s never pushy or demanding — just content to be near you, often lounging quietly on the couch or his favorite chair, occasionally hopping up to gently ask for a few head scratches or pats. His soft nature makes him incredibly easy to be around. He’s not fazed by visitors, staying relaxed and composed when friends come over — no hiding, no stress, no drama. Just Buddy being his usual chill self.
What makes him even more special is his harmony with other animals. Buddy lives alongside a dog and they coexist beautifully. There’s no tension between them — just quiet understanding. They often do their own thing, but every now and then, you’ll catch them playing together in the most respectful, easygoing way. It’s clear that Buddy reads the room — whether it’s with people or pets — and adapts with quiet confidence.
He’s also incredibly reliable when it comes to litter habits — no fuss, no accidents, and not picky about litter types. He just gets on with it, which sums up Buddy perfectly. He’s independent but social, calm but loving, and present in the most comforting way. He doesn’t need constant attention, but when he chooses to curl up beside you or seek out your hand for a pat, it feels all the more special.
If you’re looking for a cat who’s already learned the art of peaceful living, who will quietly love you without overwhelming your space, and who fits seamlessly into a calm household — Buddy is your boy. He’s ready for his forever home and would thrive with someone who appreciates the beauty of a soft soul. Could that be you?

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitment—both emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. We’ll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, we’d love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, we’ll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isn’t the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $325
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a $35 lifetime registration fee on top of the adoption price.
