About Julia
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
Sweet little Julia is a gentle soul with a big heart and a lot of love to give. She has a heart of gold, loves everyone and does not have a mean bone in her gorgeous little body.
Sadly we found Julia at a shelter and on a list of cats due to be put down for being "too timid". But luckily, thanks to some amazing people, we were able to get her out of there and give her a second chance at a great life.
We're not sure of her history prior to being found in the shelter. She was quite scared of people when she first came into our care but we're not sure if this was due to her not having much contact with people previously or if she just had a bad experience while in the shelter.
But either way, with time and love, she has found her confidence and her beautiful personality has begun to shine through. It has taken a lot of work by one of our amazing foster carers but Julia has gone from a cat that would not come out from under the couch to one that absolutely adores human company and cannot wait for you to get home so she can shower you with love.
Julia loves a pat and a scratch, enjoys a cuddle, will sleep on the bed with you and has an adorable purr that you just cannot get enough of. When you get home from work she will be rubbing up against your legs wanting attention and when it's time to kick back and watch you're favourite TV show she will be right there with you.
She is also VERY cat social and absolutely adores her foster brother Jasper. He has been super important in helping her to find her confidence and she now follows him around like a bad smell. It was under Jaspers tutelage that Julia learned that us people aren't so bad and that beds and cuddles are a good thing :)
For this reason Julia needs to go to a home that already has a cat-social cat who can take her under their wing and show her the ropes. A cat that's around her age and who loves other cats would be ideal. Julia really needs a brother or sister that she can lean on and learn from when settling into her new forever home.
Make sure you check out the adorable videos on her profile. We've also got an awesome video on our socials showing her transformation from scaredy cat to smoochy cat :)

Julia is very food motivated and will never be far away when you're preparing dinner. Bribing her with treats or yummy smelling food is a great way to build her trust. As a young lady she's also got plenty of energy to burn and loves to play. She enjoys her laser pointer and wand toys so this is also a great way to bond.
We would love to find Julia a nice quiet home with an experienced cat owner, who already has a cat-friendly cat, and who is willing to give her the time she needs to settle into her new home, find her confidence and come out of her shell.
When she first arrives in her new forever home she will most likely be quite shy at first but in the right environment and with the right support we have no doubt that her beautiful personality will quickly begin to shine through and you'll find yourself with a sweet and affectionate little ball of love on your hands.
Julia really is a remarkable little last and whoever is fortunate enough to adopt this beautiful soul is really in for somthing special.
If you're looking to add a gentle and affectionate fluffy ball of love to your home then Julia is the cat for you.
Julia is approximately 20 months old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with her.
Located in Caulfield North with our amazing foster carers.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
Otherwise please check out our social media to learn a bit more about what we do.
