At five years old, Diesel is a Dogue de Bordeaux with the soul of a teddy bear and the snore of a small tractor.

Don’t let the serious face fool you—this hunk is a lovebug through and through. Diesel is the kind of dog who thinks he’s lap-sized (he’s not) and will lean into you for cuddles like a sleepy wrecking ball. He’s all muscle on the outside, all marshmallow on the inside.

Diesel is built like a tank, but when it comes to his people, he’s as soft and sweet as they come. He lives for food and will politely supervise all your snacks—for safety reasons, of course. A seasoned napper and sunshine enthusiast, he takes his relaxation seriously and can often be found sprawled out in the sunshine like a dozing cinnamon loaf.

Don’t be fooled by his chilled-out vibe though—Diesel still gets a case of the zoomies now and then, usually followed by an epic snooze to recover from the excitement. In familiar surroundings, he’s confident and calm, but new environments can make him a little cautious and excited. With slow introductions and a bit of reassurance, he quickly finds his footing and settles in beautifully.

Diesel is looking for a home where he can be someone’s loyal shadow and full-time couch ornament. He enjoys short walks, big cuddles, and anything that involves treats or soft bedding. He’s well past the puppy chaos and into his “wise but goofy uncle” phase of life—low maintenance, high reward.

He’d thrive with experienced dog owners who can appreciate his strength, his quirks, and his heartfelt devotion. He may be open to sharing his space with a calm canine companion (a meet and greet will be required), but really, Diesel just wants a human or two to call his own.

Diesel’s adoption fee is $450, which includes microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, desexing, flea & worm treatment, and lifetime registration in NSW.
