Meet Winston,
A big-hearted, boisterous Golden Retriever with a sparkle beneath the scruff and a whole lot of love to give.

Winston is ready to leave his rocky past behind and start fresh with someone who sees him for the gem he truly is. He's just learning how to be a dog-one treat at a time. Loud, lively, and full of life, Winston leans in for love (especially if snacks are involved-but fair warning, he's a bit snatchy!).

Toys don't interest him much yet, but he's already mastered "sit" and is eager to learn more. With patience and consistency, he'll thrive with someone who enjoys helping a dog build confidence and skills.

Winston can be reactive around other dogs and prefers his space, so he's looking for a calm, pet-free home where he can be the center of attention. Due to his underconfidence and ongoing training needs, Winston would do best in an adult home. He may be okay with older, dog-savvy children who can respect his boundaries and help him feel safe.

Anxious but brave, messy but endearing-Winston is the kind of project that rewards you with deep trust, big-hearted companionship, and a very good boy curled up by your side.
