About Winston
Say hello to Winston, a 10.5kg French Bulldog bursting with personality, charm, and just the right amount of cheek.
Winston is currently 3 years and 9 months old.
Winston came into care as a private surrender, through no fault of his own.
With his endearing little underbite, expressive eyes, and a tongue that rarely stays tucked in while he naps, Winston is the full Frenchie experience wrapped in one wrinkly, wiggly package.
Winston is the kind of dog who makes himself known the moment he enters a room and somehow always ends up stealing the best seat in the house, your lap, and your heart.
Winston first came into care with a little uncertainty , but he has truly blossomed with his current foster family.
Winston is toilet trained, confidently uses a doggy door, and is crate trained when needed, though he much prefers the comfort of the couch and to sprawl out near his humans.
Winston is fantastic on the lead and enjoys a good 30-minute walk to stretch his legs and sniff out all the good spots, but truth be told, what Winston loves most is being wherever his humans are. If you’re on the couch, he's there. Doing chores? Expect Winston to follow you like a shadow, hoping for a treat or a cuddle along the way.
This boy is full of beans, with a fun-loving energy that makes him a joy to be around. He’s not hyper, but he definitely loves a good play session with his toys or his Frenchie foster siblings.
He’s currently sharing his foster home with two other French Bulldogs, a mellow older gent and a playful younger girl, and he gets along beautifully with both. For that reason, we feel Winston would thrive in a home with another dog. He blossoms with other dogs company and enjoys the social side of being part of a little pack.
Winston is not cat friendly.
Winston is generally quiet around the house and will only pipe up if someone’s at the door. Think of him as your polite little security alert, minus all the fuss.
Winston has lived previously with small children and can get excited around them and jump up on them for play so either needing dog savvy kids or kids over 8 simply for the jumping.
Winston is highly food motivated, quick to learn, and responds brilliantly to structure and routine. This makes him a dream to train, especially if there are some tasty rewards involved.
His quirks are all part of Winston charm, from snoozing with his tongue peeking out to the way he nudges you for just one more pat, Winston has mastered the art of melting hearts.
If you’re after a best mate who will adore you endlessly, make you laugh daily, and snuggle into your side every chance he gets, then Winston might just be the one.
He’s cheeky, loyal, and absolutely bursting with love to give, Winston isn’t just looking for a home, he’s looking for a family, a couch, a cuddle buddy, and maybe even a furry sibling or two , to share his adventures with!
