About Magpie STA014171
Introducing Magpie, a delicate and gentle soul seeking a tranquil home where trust and love can blossom. Having come to us as a wary stray, Magpie has experienced the world at a distance, making him quite shy and nervous around new faces. However, within those hesitations lies a young guy with a capacity for love, waiting patiently for the right person to guide him into a life of warmth and security.
A lover of simple pleasures, Magpie never says no to a delicious meal. His appreciation for food can be an excellent way to start building a bond with him. He thrives in a calm, quiet environment where the rhythms of daily life are soothing. A household without children or dogs would be ideal to help foster his comfort and trust.
For the person willing to invest time and patience, Magpie offers a unique opportunity to witness the transformation of a timid spirit into a confident companion. With consistent care and gentle persistence, Magpie will reveal his affection slowly and surely. If you’re someone who understands the value of slow progress and the joy of building a meaningful connection, Magpie would love to meet you. Together, you can embark on a journey of trust and companionship, sharing the quiet moments that make life truly special.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
