About Brett
Meet Brett - A Champion Couch Cuddler in the Making
Say hello to Brett, a red and white pied Greyhound with a heart as big as... well, everything else about him! This handsome lad may have a body a little bigger than his head, but we think that just makes him more endearing. (And don't worry-he hasn't noticed, so let's keep it that way.)
Brett recently made the leap from the fast-paced life of greyhound kennels to the slower, snuggly world of pet life, and he's loving every second of it. Now under the care of BARC, Brett is on the lookout for a forever home-and a forever couch-to call his own.
Like all Greyhounds, Brett is a gentle soul with heaps of love to give. He's dog-social with most pups, big and small, and is showing real promise around cats with slow, careful introductions. Brett would thrive in a home with children aged 10 or older who can appreciate his calm, affectionate nature.
Whether you're living in an apartment or a house, Brett's low-maintenance lifestyle makes him a dream companion. A couple of good walks a day, a comfy place to nap, and some regular affection are all he asks for. In return, you'll get a graceful, long-legged shadow who folds himself into the size of a couch cushion and offers elite-level cuddles.
In the immortal words of Wesley Snipes:
"Once you go long-nosed, long-legged, and larger-than-life with snuggle skills to match-you never go back."
So if you're ready for a sweet, soulful dog with a champion's heart and a quirky charm all his own, Brett might just be your guy. Come meet him-you might just fall head over heels.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
