Gidget has been in care for a heartbreaking 188 days 💔 She is STILL on the lookout for her forever home.

Gidget is a sweet girl with a heart full of love and loves to be close to her humans. At six years young, she is the perfect mix of mellow and motivated. She is content to snooze the day away in a sunny spot and always eager to show off her growing list of tricks.

Gidget thrives on affection and adores snuggling up under the covers at bedtime. She listens beautifully, wants to please, and is highly food motivated, making her a dream to train. She has already learned sit, down, paw, stay-for-food, and can even catch treats in the air. She is currently working on her leash manners and will blossom with a patient adopter who can help build her confidence on walks and while exploring the outside world but is mostly a homebody.

Gidget is fully toilet trained. She is still gaining confidence outside but is getting better each day. She is best suited to a home where someone can accompany her and offer gentle encouragement. She simply feels safest with her person by her side.

Gidget is currently taking gentle, over-the-counter anxiety support to help her decompress in a new foster home and is really starting to show her personality.

She is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW, and is available for adoption interstate. Her adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
