Portello is looking for a very special home, now you may be a lover of the breed, but have you ever owned a rescue Dobermann??

We are on the lookout for the most perfect home possible for Portello, whilst he promises to give you love and loyalty, he requires ample physical and mental enrichment, consistent and positive force free training, time, space and lots of understanding of his needs.

Portello's time in the shelter has been stressful, he is in no way suited to a kennel environment, however outside of the kennel he shines!

The first thing we fell in love with was the zoomies, this guy loves toys and loves to play, he can become quite vocal and boisterous when he plays, so a spacious backyard and lots of tough chew toys is a must for him! He is best suited to a home of secondary school aged children or adults. Any children will need to be present for the meet and greet.

During his calmer moments, Portello is a love bug, humans that are willing to give him the attention he deserves is a must - he will make every attempt to be a lap dog - at almost 40kg his new owners will need to be prepared with a strong lap.

Portello's new home must be in a quieter area, he is working through reactivity to loud noises and stimulants, and struggled with the hustle and bustle of his last home. However he may be suitable to live with a resident K9 that has is able to communicate clearly, match his energy, and be a friend for life. Any potential canine companions must be present at the meet and greet before this handsome man can go home!
