About Winston
Winston requires the following in his new home:
- Another playful desex dog living in the home, (not a senior or puppy).
- Continued training around manners (nipping, jumping, chewing), toilet training, loose leash walking and car travel.
- To have the option of being inside when his family are home and to sleep of a night.
- No children under 12.
- A securely fenced backyard big enough for plays,
Winston is a beautiful pup who’s full of charm, energy, and affection and ready to find his forever home.
🐾 About Winston:
Winston’s favourite activities include:
• Playing with his foster brothers (lots of playful wrestling) 🐕
• Chewing on dog toys (the squeakier, the better!)
• Snuggling up on the couch for quality cuddle time 💕
He’s a typical puppy: full of love, curiosity, and a healthy dose of goofiness and cheekiness. Winston loves every person and dog that he meets — truly, he just wants to be everyone’s best friend! He’s still learning boundaries and manners, (especially around young kids — he’s working on not jumping up so no children under 12 living in the home), he responds beautifully to guidance.
🚗 Training & Travel:
• Toilet trained: 95% there and uses the dog door like a pro.
• Basic commands: Knows “sit”, “stay”, “wait”, and “be gentle”. He is EXTREMELY food-motivated and eager to please, with some consistency and patience, he will be a dream to train.
• Lead training: is still in progress but improving.
• Car travel: has been a bit new and scary, but he's gaining confidence with each trip.
🏡 Ideal Home:
Winston would thrive in an active home with a family or individuals who love including their pup in day-to-day life: sports, camping, outings, with a bit of training he will love going places with his new family. He’s currently sleeping on his carer’s bed, (and loving it), but during the day he spends time in the crate for a rest and will likely adapt to sleeping in a crate or dog bed overnight with training.
💬 A quick note: Winston’s enthusiasm can be a bit much for older, more reserved dogs. He means well — he's just a bouncy pup still learning the ropes of doggy etiquette. Winston has typical puppy behaviours and will jump up on people, puppy nips, bites on clothes and chew items laying around, he is easy to redirect and learns quickly.
Winston is more than just a cute face — he’s a loyal, playful, affectionate companion who just needs a loving family to help him grow into his best self.
