About Gizmo
Meet Gizmo - a sweet, affectionate pup who's just as happy sunbathing in the backyard as he is snuggled up next to you. While he's still learning the ropes of pet life, Gizmo has made great progress in foster care. He's settled into a calm home with a regular routine, enjoys following his human around, and will happily curl up for pats and belly rubs (especially behind the ears, his favourite!). He's a fast learner and knows a handful of commands already, especially when treats are involved.
Gizmo is very people-focused at home and loves being close to his humans. He can get a bit vocal when left alone or behind closed doors, so he'd suit a household where someone is home often, especially as he continues building confidence with separation. While he's curious and mostly friendly with new people, he can sometimes be wary of unfamiliar faces or noises, especially around doors and fences. He's still working on his leash manners and can be reactive to other dogs, so ongoing training and calm handling will help him feel more secure on walks.
He's playful, clever, and incredibly food-motivated - puzzle feeders, rope toys, and fetch are all favourites! Gizmo is looking for a patient and experienced adopter who can give him structure, reassurance, and lots of time in the sun. If you're ready to continue guiding this bright, loyal boy, Gizmo could be your perfect match.
