About Frodo
Looking for a gentle soul with a goofy side and a huge personality? Look no further than this awesome guy. Frodo is a 13-year-old Staffy who still has plenty of love (and laughs) to give!
Despite his age, Frodo enjoys his strolls around the block and loves to play fetch and tug of war (I make a big proud fuss when he “wins” tug of war and he loves it.) After approx 90 seconds of tug of war or fetch, Frodo will promptly curl up in a warm spot and fall asleep.
Frodo is toilet trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and is a total pro at sitting quietly in the car during car rides. He loves adventures and has loved all animals he has met so far, including dogs (but doesn’t like being humped), cats (he will affectionately headbutt them if they let him, but he also reads if they prefer space), horses, birds, chickens and pigs. He adores humans of all ages, including kids, and will happily soak up affection all day long.
Don’t let the grey face fool you - when Frodo wants something, he channels his inner husky and makes the most ridiculous whale-like sounds you’ve ever heard. It’s part charm, part comedy, all Frodo.
Frodo has previously lived on a farm, and now lives in a unit and has shown that he can adapt to any sort of living situation, as long as he gets cuddles.
Frodo currently chooses where he sleeps at night, sometimes this is his dog bed and sometimes he makes his whale sounds as his humans get into bed to let them know he would like to hop up into bed too. Due to some arthritis, Frodo would benefit from a ramp to the bed or someone able to pick him up. He is just under 20kg.
Frodo will happily wait at home while you go to work and has never been destructive. He is a very smart boy and LOVES some enrichment when you go to work (lickimats are his favourite!)
Frodo would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can enjoy short walks, soft beds, and lots of cuddles. If you’re after a low-maintenance, affectionate companion who’s equal parts chill and silly, Frodo would LOVE to meet you!
