About Gypsy
Say hello to the charming Gypsy, a gorgeous Maltese Shih Tzu with a heart as soft as her fluffy coat and a cheeky glint in her eye.
Gypsy is still a young girl at only 15 months old and full of spark, Gypsy is a delightful blend of sweet, and sassy all rolled into one.
She adores cuddling on the couch just as much as she loves racing around with a foster sibling, with a toy in her mouth, tail in full wag.
While she has bursts of puppy energy, Gypsy is equally happy snoozing beside her humans, soaking up all the love she can.
Gypsy is fully toilet trained and has adapted well to her foster family's home. Although Gypsy hasn't used a doggy door at her current fosters home, she's a clever girl and would follow another dog's lead and easily work it out in no time.
Although Gypsy is not crate trained, she finds comfort in small, cozy spaces and enjoys curling up somewhere close.
Gypsy is still learning the ropes when it comes to walking on a lead and can get a little distracted, but she’s making great progress with every outing.
Open, spacious areas can make her a bit nervous, often triggering some excited barking, but in familiar, smaller environments, Gypsy settles quickly and shines.
Gypsy is wonderfully social and gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, though she can be a little hesitant around larger breeds at first. She'll thrive with any playful dogs and would benefit from a home where she’s not the only dog, it really is a must!
Gypsy has only been exposed to one cat who was pretty mean to her, and she was very nervous around him.......... A home with a cat maybe too stressful for Gypsy. She’s currently living with some budgies at her foster home and shows no interest in them.
Gypsy absolutely loves children and is the happiest when she's surrounded by them, though she’s still learning not to get too mouthy when excited. Because of this, she would best suit dog-savvy kids who understand puppy behavior.
At night, Gypsy currently sleeps in the lounge room with her foster sibling, but she would much rather be snuggled up close to her humans when given the chance.
Her favorite spot is wherever her humans are, she truly thrives on companionship and would not suit being left alone for long hours at all.
Whether it’s curling up next to you while you work from home or trotting by your side around the garden, she simply wants to be part of the family, Your little shadow.
Food is her greatest motivator, if it’s edible, Gypsy’s interested. She’s not one to play fetch, but she finds pure joy in carrying fluffy toys around and tumbling through playful wrestling with her foster siblings
Gypsy has an affectionate nature, paired with her quirky habit of trotting around proudly with a toy in her mouth, making her completely lovable.
Gypsy may take a little time to fully settle into her new home, but once she feels safe and loved, her sweet personality truly blossoms.
Gypsy would suit a home with another playful dog, a secure yard that’s not too large, and a family who is around more often than not.
We believe that with the right family, Gypsy will be the perfect mix of cheeky charm, soft snuggles, and your loyal loving shadow who will be an amazing addition to the right family.
