About Odin - 3 Year Old Rottweiler X
š¾ Meet Odin ā Your Future Adventure Buddy & loyal Companion š¾
Meet Odin the 3 year old Rottweiler cross. Heās a big-hearted, energetic boy whoās ready to find his forever family.
Odin is confident, loyal and full of life and personality. Heās a gorgeous 27kg goofball who loves nothing more than a good wrestle with a doggy friend, a fast game of chase the ball or the hose, and than a big snuggle on the couch afterward.
Odin is happy to spend his days outside during the day when no oneās home, but he loves being inside with his people when youāre home. Heās happiest when heās part of the action, whether thatās lounging at your feet or curling up on his bed inside.
He currently sleeps inside on a dog bed, though heās shown interest in climbing into the human bed too (can you blame him?). While potentially crate-trained, he has not chosen to sleep in it in foster care.
Odin hasnāt been tested with children in his foster home. Due to his size, strength, and playful energy, heād be best suited to a home with older kids above 8 who are confident and dog-savvy.
Odin currently lives with a 10-month-old pup and is incredibly patient and playful. He can be a bit dominant at first and is protective over food and toys, so any resident dog should enjoy active, rough-and-tumble play. A good match would be another confident and social dog who doesnāt mind Odinās enthusiastic play style.
Odin hasnāt been tested with cats or small animals.
Odin stays home during the day with his foster dog sister, but he can get bored and chew, dig, or howl if left without stimulation. Heās a smart, curious boy who needs a secure yard and plenty of mental and physical enrichment.
Odin is super playful, confident, and very food-driven so will be a breeze to train. He would thrive in an active household where he can join on walks, hikes, and adventures, followed by couch time and belly rubs.
Odin is very strong on the lead as he hasnāt had much formal training, but heās responsive and eager to please and with consistent guidance, enrichment and training heāll be such a loyal loving family member. He already knows:
⢠Sit / Down
⢠Shake (paw)
⢠Come (indoors)
⢠Wait
⢠āOn your bedā
Odin is a smart boy and food motivated so he will be a breeze to train which will help him reach his potential, especially with leash manners.
š Odinās Ideal Family:
An active, dog-experienced home (with or without another playful dog) who is ready to include him in daily adventures, continue his training. Heād do best with older kids, a secure yard, and plenty of enrichment to keep his brain and body busy.
He will happily crash next to you on the sofa for cuddles after a day of play
If youāre looking for an affectionate, energetic dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and steal your heart (and maybe your bed), Odin might just be your perfect match.
Odin is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and intestinal worms and microchipped. His adoption fee is $600. He is in foster care in Cardiff NSW and is available for adoption within NSW, Vic, ACT, no flights.
