Mietta is a delicate soul with a quietly regal presence. This pretty medium-haired tuxedo kitten has the most striking green eyes – the kind that catch the light and make you pause.
While Mietta absolutely loves to be admired from afar, she’s still learning to enjoy being touched and will need time and patience to adjust in her new home.
Rescued from a stressful and overwhelming environment, Mietta initially retreats to safety when she feels uncertain. But in the calm and safety of her foster home, she’s making beautiful progress, slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.
Mietta now accepts pats from people she trusts – a huge milestone for this gentle girl.
Mietta would do well in a quiet home with someone experienced in caring for nervous or shy cats. She’s been living with a cat-friendly German shepherd in foster care and has formed a sweet bond with him, so she could happily live with a kind, respectful dog or a calm, confident older cat who can help show her the ropes.
Mietta would also be content as a solo pet, as long as she’s given the freedom to come out of her shell on her own terms.
Because of her anxious nature Mietta is well suited to a single or couple with either no children or older children who can respect this kitten's need for safety and to retreat at times.
If you’re someone who understands the beauty of slow, meaningful trust and the reward of watching a timid cat grow in confidence, Mietta may just be your perfect match.

Adoption details
HOW TO ADOPT FROM US:
1. Email dandycatrescue@yahoo.com and request an adoption form to be sent to you, fill it out and return it to us. We’ll be in touch!
2. If your application is successful, we’ll make arrangements for you to visit our cats and kittens at our foster carer’s home.
3. We ask that you pay the nominated fee to us via online bank deposit either at the adoption day or at the home visit (preferred), or in cash. We do not accept eftpos, credit or debit card transactions at this stage.
4. You will be provided with a folder of paperwork for your new kitty upon adoption. Your adoption fee includes a Central Animal Records Change of Ownership that is completed by us online two weeks after the adoption.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
