About Maurice & Sheba
What is better than having an adorable, affectionate and small dog in your family? Why, having two of them of course. If you're looking for a couple of cute and cuddly companion dogs, may I introduce you to father and daughter duo, Maurice and Sheba.
These dogs are a bonded pair and were reluctantly surrendered; their sweet natures attest to the love their former owner had for them. With this pair all the hard work has been done: they are fully toilet trained (apart from a couple of mishaps when Sheba first came into care); they sleep soundly all night; they love to meet new people; they walk gently on lead, taking time to appreciate all the smells and sights; they only bark if a stranger approaches the house but stop when told (they are by no means yappy dogs); they love to be near their people; they get on well with other dogs in their current foster home but they can try to get all the attention. As such they would suit a home that has more than one person, including children, or someone who is home often as they love human company and getting lots of pats and cuddles. Although they have many features in common, they also have distinct personalities.
Maurice (the father with dark blue collar in photographs) was born on 29/05/24 so he is not much more than a puppy himself. He is a small dog but not tiny and weighs approximately 12 kilograms. He is a sweet and gentle boy with many of the physical features of a Dachshund but with the coat of a Terrier. He is low maintenance, not a fussy eater, and he loves to curl on your lap or beside you on the couch.
Sheba (dark pink collar) was born on 01/02/25 old and weighs about 11 kilograms. Sheba is slightly taller than Maurice but is not as long; she has more of the Terrier features. As she is still in the puppy stage, Sheba is adventurous and will initiate play with Maurice or other dogs; she loves playing, learning new skills and having new experiences.
These pups are predominately inside dogs, although they love exploring the garden and going for daily walks. They are affectionate, playful and very happy pets.
