About Susie
Susie is a quirky little lady with goofy looking eyes and a cute underbite.
She’s an independent little madam who knows what she wants and doesn’t like.
If you want the perfect house guest that’s Susie. She doesn’t bark at all. In fact we have yet to hear her bark at anything although she will grumble to herself if something annoys her- so cute!
She gets along with other dogs but doesn’t interact with them so she would be very content being the only dog in the household.
She’s very intelligent and is trained to use puppy pads inside (not one accident) or will toilet outside.
She loves her food and happily goes to sleep in her bed with a good night treat. This is a night time ritual.
The best way to describe Susie’s affectionate side is to think CAT! She is loyal and loving but it’s on her terms. She’s not a cuddly lap dog and would not be suited to children.
At 9 years, Susie is an active little girl and likes to trot around exploring.
Although she has a grade 5 heart murmur and takes daily medication, it definitely doesn’t slow this little energiser bunny down.
Susie would be suited to a home where someone is home most of the time.💗
Medical notes
Ten year old Susie is desexed and microchipped. She is up-to-date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heart worm prevention.
Susie has a grade 5 heart murmur and takes Cardisure (0.625mg twice daily). She has had an echocardiogram and chest x-rays so we have more information about her heart murmur if requested. We also offer a complimentary vet check with Susie’s vet to go over her medical notes during the adoption trial period.
Susie has had her right patella repaired and has recovered from that surgery. She does have a luxating patella on the left side, but it’s not as bad and doesn’t require surgery.
She has also had a dental recently with 4 extractions.
