About Poppy
Meet Poppy â The Tiny Queen đđŸ
Poppy is a 6-month-old Chihuahua x Fox Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a little body. Equal parts snugglebug and sassy boss lady, sheâs ready to join a home that loves her quirks and cuddles just as much as she loves giving them.
Poppy is such a happy girl. Her tail never stops wagging, and she absolutely thrives on love, kindness and positive reinforcement. She has a signature wiggle that makes every greeting unforgettable. Her tail doesnât just wag, it dances. Addicted to kisses and couch time, sheâll wedge herself right up next to you for a Netflix binge, donut bed optional but strongly preferred. She wants to be near her people, soaking up affection, joining in on the fun, or just curling up quietly by your side.
This girl adores kids and lives with three primary school-aged children in her foster home. Her 9-year-old foster sister is a true âpuppy whisperer,â spending hours talking to Poppy, showing her toys, singing sweet songs and tucking her in with a blanket. Poppy laps up every moment with children and thrives on being part of their world, happily trotting beside them on walks or curling up nearby during quiet time.
Poppy is social with both cats and dogs, as long as they respect her space. She shares her foster home with a confident feline who seems to think sheâs one of them (Poppy isnât so sure) and she takes it all in stride, just not a fan of anyone, cat or dog, getting too up in her face. She enjoys the company of other dogs and brings a little sass to the mix, gently reminding them that sheâs not to be bossed around. A respectful playmate is all she asks.
Her quirks? Sheâs an interior designer in training, redistributing the familyâs laundry throughout the house (so helpful!) and always keeping things interesting with her cheeky charm.
Poppy is gentle, affectionate and full of personality. If youâre after a pocket-sized companion whoâs cuddly, clever, joyful and completely kid-approved, Poppy might be the one for you. đ
Dogs make wonderful companions, and the benefits of bringing one home are immense. Theyâre loyal, loving, and endlessly entertaining. Plus, youâll never be lonely or bored with a pup by your side.
Adopting a dog can also provide you with an opportunity to give a pup in need a second chance. With the right amount of love and patience, you can help your pooch become a confident, well-rounded canine companion.
Youâll also get to experience the unique bond between two-legged and four-legged friends. Plus, dogs can provide you with plenty of physical and mental health benefits. From providing you with daily exercise, to reducing stress and anxiety, to providing you with unconditional love and companionship, the advantages of canine ownership are endless.
So, if youâre ready to welcome a pup into your life, consider adopting a dog today. You wonât regret it!

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:
1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.
2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.
3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.
4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.
