About Essy
Meet Essy, affectionately known as "squish melon ," an adorably silver flecked older pug with a heart full of love and a spirit eager for adventure. She perfectly balances being the cuddliest companion and the most loyal playmate, making her an ideal addition to any home craving a bit of canine companionship.
Essy’s affectionate and social nature means she quickly bonds with her human family while also being wonderful with other dogs and even cats. She loves to quietly judge everyone and everything. She's very happy to be in the centre of the action but with a quirky stare and judgemental sass.
Essy is toilet trained, offering peace of mind for those looking for a tidy and easy-to-manage pet. Although she has lost most of her teeth, she has an impressive knack for enjoying all her favourite snackies with gusto, so worry not about her appetite!
Once she's burned off that energy,Essy can quickly settle down beside you for some quiet time, whether you're reading, working, or just relaxing. And if you're out for errands or work, she's quite content to nap until you return, ready with wagging croissant tail and a heart full of devotion.

Medical notes
Essy has a sore left front leg intermittently -it appears to be arthritis and is managed with rest and Panadol when it flares up.
Essy has had 5/5 boas surgery to help her breath well in her golden years.
Essy has also had a dental for minty fresh kisses
She is a brachycephalic breed. All suffer from BOAS in some way, either minor or severe. They are always at risk of boas ( brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome)becoming clinical- creating difficulty breathing. We expect you to have a complete understanding of the condition and discuss the potential surgical, environmental and medical modifications you may have to do for this condition with your vet before you apply for this dog. It is also a excellent idea to take advantage of the trial period to have your vet check over the dog and give you more pointers on this breed related issue and the expectations for their care and management.
