About Judith
Meet Judith (or Jolly Judy, as we've affectionately nicknamed her!)
This beautiful 2-year and 10-month-old black Labrador girl hasn't had the easiest start in life, but you'd never know it from the sparkle in her eyes and the wag of her tail. Jolly is full of heart, hope, and that classic Lab enthusiasm - ready to embrace a fresh start and a loving home.
Despite her past, she hasn't let it dim her shine. She's a sweet, eager-to-please girl who's discovering the joys of the world beyond a backyard. With that signature "young Lab energy," she's looking for a family who's ready to guide her as she blossoms into the incredible companion she's meant to be.
Jolly would thrive in a home:
With older kids who can handle her bouncy, affectionate style
Willing to invest time in training and socialization
That understands the needs of a young, energetic Lab
Open to sharing new life with another confident dog who can show her the ropes.
She's a quick learner and is already showing how much she wants to connect with her people. With patience, love, and a bit of structure, this black shadow of joy will become an irreplaceable part of your life.
Are you the one to give Jolly the life she's been waiting for?

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
