Douglas is a cheeky, playful pup full of energy and curiosity.
At just 6 months old, he’s still learning the ropes of the world and would thrive with a patient, confident human to guide him.
Douglas hasn’t had much training yet, but he’s smart and eager to learn. He’s started halti training to help with his walking manners but it’s all new to him, and he’s making good progress. Walks, new sounds, and busy environments can be overwhelming right now, so a calm, steady approach will help him gain confidence.
He’s totally fine being left alone and will happily entertain himself with chew toys or zoom around the backyard. He has a silly, independent side and loves to play whether with you or on his own.
Douglas is starting to show some dominant behaviour towards other dogs and can get a little snappy, so he’ll need continued socialisation and structure to help him build better habits. He has been around cats and, so far, hasn’t shown much interest in them.
With the right mix of training, patience, and love, Douglas has the potential to grow into a truly loyal and loving companion. He needs a home with a confident experience owner, ongoing training and socialisation.
Think you could be the right match for Douglas? Come meet him and see if he’s the pup for you!
Douglas is $400 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
