About Ava
Meet Ava, a gentle soul searching for a compassionate and understanding human to call her own. This quiet and delicate lady can be a little nervous at first, but with the right environment, she’s sure to shine. Ava is still learning about the great wide world and will sometimes need time and patience to feel comfortable.
Ava has shown that she's good with cats at the shelter, and she might thrive alongside another small, calm dog who can help her build confidence. She’s best suited to a home without young children, where loud noises can be minimized, and a slower pace can be embraced.
Ava's fair-based aggression may appear when she feels insecure, but with gentle guidance and loving support, she can overcome her worries. An adopter who moves at her pace and offers a steady hand will help her discover the joy of companionship.
Though she's currently not comfortable on a collar and lead, with care and encouragement, Ava can learn to trust and enjoy walking by your side. Your steady commitment to her needs will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and love, as Ava has a heart full of affection to give.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
