About Ava
Meet Ava, the embodiment of cuteness with a gentle heart. Though she may seem a bit timid at first, Ava is simply a diamond in the rough, waiting for the right person to help her shine. Her adorable appearance and sweet disposition make her a charming little companion. Ava's nervous nature means she takes time to trust new people and environments, but once she feels secure, her affectionate side emerges, highlighted by her love for tummy rubs and gentle play.
Ava would thrive in a calm and patient home environment, best suited to a serene household where she can learn and grow at her own pace. She has shown potential to befriend cats, and she may feel more at ease with another small dog who can help boost her confidence. Ava is still learning to get comfortable with a lead and collar, so an adopter committed to gentle and positive training will be essential.
It's important to note Ava's aversion to having her head touched which is a huge responsiblity for her adopter to work with; however, with time and trust, she's sure to develop a deep bond with her new family. She can be startled by loud noises, so a quieter home would be ideal for her. In the warm embrace of patient and understanding individuals, Ava is sure to blossom into a lovely and devoted pet. If you're ready to offer love and patience, Ava is eager to meet you and begin this new chapter together.
Medical notes
Ava had a dental and scale

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
