About Sasha - 4 Year Old German Shepherd
Sasha – Your Loyal Country Companion
Sasha is the quintessential German Shepherd: loyal, intelligent, affectionate, and always eager to please. If you were to picture the ideal shepherd, you’d be imagining Sasha.
She’s an old-fashioned family gal through and through—devoted to her people, great with kids (expect face licks!), and happiest when she’s part of the daily household rhythm. Whether she’s stretched out beside the kids on the floor or by your feet with her trusty ball, Sasha is right where she belongs—by your side.
Having spent her life in the country, Sasha thrives in quiet surroundings. A small acreage or a peaceful suburban home would suit her perfectly, as the hustle and bustle of city life is unfamiliar and overwhelming.
Her bedtime routine is adorable: she helps tuck the kids in, joins them for cuddles, then settles in her own bed near the back door. She knows her role and takes it seriously—especially when it comes to protecting her pack. Like many shepherds, she’s wary of strangers at first, but once properly introduced, she relaxes and feels at ease.
Sasha is smart as a whip and learns quickly—especially when treats are involved! She already knows how to sit and shake, and while she enjoys a lead-walk, this is a work in progress. She has hesitations about the road and we are working with her to slowly help her feel comfortable with a roadside walk.
She’s food-motivated and responds beautifully to gentle, reward-based training.
Ball games are her jam, and she’ll happily invent her own games with you if you’re up for the fun.
Sasha is looking for a home with people who understand the German Shepherd mindset—devoted, sensitive, and happiest with clear routines and firm-but-loving boundaries. She’ll reward you a hundred times over with loyalty, laughter, and love.
Sasha’s adoption fee is $800. She has been treated for fleas and worms, is microchipped and desexed. She is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW.
