Allow us to introduce Buxton, a loyal, sweet, and sensitive soul who is searching for a special someone to call his own. This handsome Australian Cattle Dog mix is the kind of companion who’ll quickly become your shadow, your confidant, and your most devoted friend.
Buxton thrives on human connection and wants nothing more than to be by your side throughout the day—whether you're pottering in the garden, working from home, or just relaxing with a cuppa. If you're looking for a true-blue mate who lives for companionship, Buxton is your guy.
Personality
Buxton is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his people. He’s gentle, polite, and loyal, and just wants to be part of your world. While he may be a bit sensitive, he has a heart full of love to give and just needs someone to return it in kind. He’s already toilet-trained, well-mannered indoors, and only gets a little bouncy when excited (and who can blame him—he just loves life!).
At night, he sleeps peacefully on his own bed—ideally in your room, where he finds comfort and security just knowing you're nearby.
Walks, Adventures & Car Rides
Buxton loves his walks and the great outdoors. While he’s still brushing up on his lead skills, he’s eager to learn and enjoys every opportunity to explore. He’s also a calm and content passenger on car rides—perfect for road trips or a quick ride to the park.
Other Pets & Alone Time
Buxton has lived with other dogs before and can be comfortable around calm canine companions, but he’s not a fan of dominant dogs. His ideal home would be one where he can be the only pup, soaking up all the love and attention. He hasn’t been tested with other animals.
He’s okay being left alone outside for a few hours with something to keep him entertained with things such as kongs (frozen) with his favourite food inside, frozen kangaroo tails occassionally etc—just don’t be surprised if he moves a few things around in the yard (he’s more cheeky than destructive!). He’s not overly vocal and tends to settle with a bit of reassurance.
