GHOST & NYMERIA “MIRRI” – BONDED PAIR SEEKING A LOVING HOME TOGETHER OR SEPARATE
Breed: Purebred Siberian Huskies
Ages:
Ghost – 8 years (DOB: 10 April 2017)
Mirri – 6 years (DOB: 25 May 2019)
Location: Castlemaine, VIC
Desexed: Yes (both)
Microchip Numbers:
Ghost – 956000006500172
Mirri – 956000010508748
This beautiful bonded pair is looking for a new home due to their owner undergoing out-of-home intensive medical treatment. It’s a heartbreaking decision made with their best interest at heart — ensuring they continue to receive the stability, care and love they’re used to.
Ghost and Mirri are gentle, soulful companions who embody the best of the Siberian Husky breed, affectionate, expressive, and happiest when by their human’s side or running free at the beach.
💙 GHOST (Male – Silver coat)
Confident, calm, and deeply affectionate, Ghost is the ultimate companion. He’s incredibly comfortable with people, including children (15+), and is emotionally intuitive. During storms or fireworks, Ghost may seek the comfort of your lap — he’s not shy about expressing his needs. On lead, he walks beautifully and loves being part of any adventure. He’s also great around cats and other dogs.
🤍 NYMERIA “MIRRI” (Female – Wolf Grey coat)
Mirri is gentle and sensitive with a deep emotional intelligence. She thrives in a calm, stable environment and bonds strongly with adults who have a quiet, confident presence. While she’s wary of chaotic environments or fast-moving children, she’s affectionate and playful once she feels secure. Mirri prefers peaceful walks in quiet areas or nighttime strolls. Like Ghost, she’s wonderful with cats and has never shown aggression.
🐶 TOGETHER:
Ghost and Mirri have been raised with cats and share warm, snuggly relationships with their feline friends. They are housetrained, sleep inside, and understand basic obedience commands. Their communication is mostly through gentle Husky vocalisations and body language barking is rare. They enjoy periods of restful downtime and playful energy, especially when they have the freedom to run and swim at the beach. While they’ve socialised at dog parks, they prefer more open environments like dog beaches where they can engage on their own terms. Like many Huskies, they can be vocal when playing with each other their enthusiastic grumbles are part of the charm!
🏥 Both dogs are currently up to date with monthly treatments for fleas, intestinal worms, and heartworm (last treated 1 July 2025), and are fully vaccinated (August 2024, titer testing pending). They are in excellent health.
🏠 THEIR IDEAL HOME:
These two must stay together they are emotionally bonded and balanced as a pair. They would do best in a home where they are part of the family, with plenty of mental stimulation, affection, and physical exercise. A secure yard is essential, and bonus points if there’s access to nature or a quiet dog beach nearby. They would suit a calm adult household (or with older, respectful children), especially one with experience in the Husky breed and an understanding of their unique emotional and physical needs.
🏘️ TO BE REHOMED SEPARATELY
Ghost & Nymeria have been together & inseparable, for 6 years, since Nymeria was brought home as a baby.
As they are so connected and in sync with each other, it would be best to home them together. Nymeria was shy & withdrawn as a puppy, and Ghost was very instrumental in teaching Nymeria how to play, how to interact with humans & other animals, and he demonstrated to her what healthy & normal dog behaviour was, and encouraged her capacity to learn about walking on lead and responding positively to commands from her humans. He modelled very healthy behaviours for her, such as sleeping, resting, eating in a relaxed manner, interracting with other dogs in an off-leash environment, and general normal healthy dog habits.
To separate them could cause unneccesary stress & anxiety for Nymeria, however, if unfortunately they were separated, Ghost would miss her, but being more resilient, would recover with time. Nymeria would require constant companionship with one other dog, but a mature dog, similar size, that is Calm, Relaxed, well adjusted, playfull, but not over exuberant or 'in your face'.
Nymeria connects very well and very strongly with humans in her life whom are consistently loving, calm, AWARE and intuitive to her personality styles. She would need almost constant company, reassurance & love, as that is exactly what worked to relieve her nervous system when she came home initially. She would be very content curling up on the bed or couch with her special human, a lot of the time. Someone working from home or retired with a LOT of love & time to give, would be suitable.
If you think you could offer Ghost and Mirri the loving home they deserve, please reach out. These two stunning souls are ready to give their hearts to the right forever family.
