About Pearly
Pearly is a confident and loving companion who adores her humans. She thrives on meeting new people of all ages and is very friendly towards everyone that she meets. Pearly is a cuddle bug who enjoys sofa snuggles when she’s in the mood for some relaxation time and absolutely loves belly rubs. She's a bold and fast girl who gets a thrill from chasing and fetching a ball in open spaces. Toys, especially a rope for tug-of-war, are great fun for her and she loves it when her family get involved in the fun with her. Pearly is a great size, only a small dog around 10kg, and has a wonderfully scruffy look.
Pearly is a great companion around the home and loves to travel along with her family on car trips. She is house trained and settles quickly when left home alone so if perfect for someone who needs an affectionate but independent dog. Pearly would benefit from a new home that understands how to provide her with boundaries that give her structure and guidance in her life. In her current home she is displaying some resource guarding behaviours and will react to pesky items like vacuums, brooms and lawnmowers. Pearly is a smart girl but thinks she is the boss sometimes. She doesn’t enjoy being bathed and groomed or picked up and will let you know with a bit of a growl. Her new owners will need to be committed to employing some positive reinforcement training and management at home to teach Pearly on how to behave more appropriately in these scenarios.
Pearly is looking for a home where she can be the centre of attention and live as the only pet. She is currently living with another dog, and it is not working out which is why she is being rehomed. She knows how to sit for a treat and walk on the lead but still pulls quite hard, particularly if she sees another dog, so will need someone with sufficient strength to walk her. Ideally, her new home will have ample space separate from other dogs where she can run and chase her ball for exercise. Pearly will be best suited to living in a quieter area rather than the inner city and is not suitable for high density living so no apartment applicants please.
This scruffy girl is looking for a new bed to cuddle up on with some new owners who will be able to give her a simple life with minimal expectations. Pearly will make someone very happy with her affectionate personality and playful nature. She is looking for an adult only home that will be predictable for her and allow her just to be herself so that her personality can shine.
If you would like to meet his scruffy little wonder, then please enquire and we will put you in touch with her current owners for a further chat.
Medical notes
Pearly suffers from some nerve pain (in her back and leg). She takes 300mgs of Gabapentin twice a day to aid this. This is a very affordable drug.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
