Meet Candy, a delightful 5-year-old Tenterfield terrier with a heart as sweet as her name. Candy has blossomed with confidence and is now ready to find a loving new family to call her own. Weighing in at 5.9 kg, she is the perfect size for cozy cuddles on the couch after playing in a sunny yard. Although shy at first, Candy has shown remarkable progress in gaining confidence.
Candy is both adorable and smart. She has been living in a foster home, where she learned to embrace new friendships, especially with other dogs her size. While she may be a bit barky at times, she never loses her sweet and gentle nature. With the right approach and a little patience, Candy opens up beautifully.
Her foster parents noted that she was initially hesitant around the male adult in the home but warmed up quickly once she realized she was in a safe, loving environment. She’s already quite adept at toilet training, which will undoubtedly set her up for success in her new home.
Candy thrives in an environment where she is an indoor family member with access to a securely fenced yard. She enjoys being part of an active household, making her a perfect fit for families who enjoy having the companionship of a spirited yet caring dog. Though untested with cats, Candy is a friendly playmate for canine companions and kid-friendly too.
Candy's adoption fee is $895, a small price for the unconditional love and companionship she promises. Located in Caboolture, she is desexed, chipped, vaccinated, and wormed, ready to embark on her new journey with a wonderful family who understands her needs. If you're seeking a loyal, loving, and charming new addition to your home, Candy might just be the perfect match for you.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
