About Freddie
Freddie is the sweetest, softest soul you’ll ever meet. He greets you with soulful eyes that have been privy to some of life’s hardest knocks; but with lots of affection and patience, he is proving to be loving and brave, full of sweetness and a little bit of spunk that shows itself more and more every day.
As for how much of a truly gorgeous soul Freddie is, don’t take our word for it, he will happily tell you himself...
"I love getting out for car rides with my foster brother, Spot. I'm learning that it’s not so scary anymore to jump into the back of the car because I always get to jump out at the very best of places, like dog parks, doggy cafes and my dawgy grandparents' place where I get to run and smell for hours. I love bush walks and lake runs - and I especially love Petbarn where the girls spoil me rotten and can’t get enough of stroking my soft-as-velvet coat.
"While I do need gentle encouragement to try new things, I know I will be able to do anything with you by my side.
"I love walks and runs – you should see me sprint at the park! And if you love to run, we could run together as I would make the best running partner.
"I’m also learning to walk nicely, but sometimes I get so excited I forget that while I might be slim, I’m mighty strong – and, I even like cats! You can’t get more pawfect than that 😉"
Freddie might have some initial shyness but he absolutely adores people of all shapes and sizes and desperately seeks to love and be loved. He will be your little shadow and would fit in well with a family of respectful adults and children, able to give him space to come up to you first and help prove to him that he can trust you – then he will shower you in gentle kisses and licks as well as his ‘happy feet’ dance.
If he was an integral part of the family, he could even be fine as a solo dog, although he does love running and playing with most dogs he’s met and can rough and tumble with the best of them. He would also suit a couple or a single dog lover who wants to help Freddie be the brightest, shiniest star in their firmament 😊
If Freddie sounds like he could be the cheese to your tomato, the snag to your sauce, the bread to your butter – then don’t waste another second, fill in the adoption form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ now!
As always, secure fencing is essential. Prior working dog experience will be well regarded.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Freddie was desexed on 14 April 2025.
